The vent a hood manufacturer has been making the same design motor in there magic lung hoods for over 60 years. We know the motors we offer will be compatible with your unit provided you pay close attention to the clockwise, or counter-clockwise spinning nature of the motor and its matching wheel. There was a time when the manufacturer made all the wheels black early in there career, however you will find today that the white wheel accompanies clockwise spinning motors and the black wheel accompanies counterclockwise spinning motors. These motors carry a warranty with the manufacturer for five years against defects in workmanship. We are unable to accept returns on parts that where purchased in customer error. Parts that are misused or damaged from improper installation. 

We have some customers and service companies that order the 1 speed motor when the two speed is needed.  We recommend always taking the hood apart to be sure which motor is needed. A general rule of thumb is that hoods with a heat sensor always require the 2 speed white motor.

We caution all of our customers to have you contractor determine in advance if backventing is an option for you installation. Studs are structural and they cannot be cut or altered. If a stud in the wall directly blocks your ability to backvent using our backventing vp561 , you may need to offset or jog your duct run before you can direct the pipe outside the wall. We are unable to accept returns on the wall louvers based on customer error and we advise you to have your installer determine if the studs will interfere with you plan to backvent. By downloading the hood specs from kitchenfoundry.com or the manufacturers webpagre you can determine in advance where the duct pipes will exit the hood and whether it will be an option to backvent vs. venting directly to the roof. You can also use two 45 degree elbows or an offset to jog your duct run around a stud as illustrated in the picture below. We cannot accept returns on on wall louvers and back vent elbows in the case of customer error.

We can accept a return within 15 days of purchase if there is any issue with workmanship of the item. We ship with full insurance and in the unlikely event of shipping damage we will file a claim with the carrier and ship a replacement without delay.
